In collabration with Dr. habil. Sahar Salehi-Müller (born Salehi), this interdisciplinary project focuses on developing engineered skeletal muscle tissues (ESMTs) as advanced in vitro models.

Zwei Projekte der Biofabrikationsgruppe der Universität Bayreuth, die die innovative Biovature-Technologie nutzen, wurden gefördert. In einem davon wird die Technologie zur Entwicklung neuer selbstaktuatorischer lebender Materialien eingesetzt. Das zweite Projekt zielt auf die Entwicklung eines neuartigen biomimetischen Meniskus ab.
